Environment & Sustainability

Ekera Medical Ltd recognises that protecting the environment is a critical issue for the global community. We also acknowledge that reducing unnecessary waste and minimising consumption of scarce resources is consistent with ongoing financial sustainability, in terms of meeting the expectations of our customers, reducing costs and minimising risks.

Ekera Medical are committed to:

  • Eliminating unnecessary waste. We aim to use natural resources more efficiently to minimise the production of waste, harmful air emissions and water discharges, and recycle or reuse where possible. When it comes to waste management, we look to prevent or reduce waste generation wherever possible so that there is less impact on the environment.
  • Resource conservation. Ekera Medical is committed to effectively managing and reducing our energy consumption (all forms) and carbon emissions.
  • Water efficiency management. We are very focused on conserving water, as medical centres are typically large users of this precious resource because of the need to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sterile environments.
  • Training and educating our staff. We recognise that all employees have a major role to play in protecting the quality of our environment. As such, to achieve our environmental policy commitments, the Company will actively provide for, encourage and support training in environmental issues.
  • Complying with regulations and standards. Ekera Medical is committed to managing our operations in compliance with applicable laws, legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice that minimise any adverse impact on the environment.
